Viswanathan, is a deemed university and established in Avadi, Chennai. Vel Tech University grants admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Engineering and Technology. Apart from these degrees, Vel Tech University offers Master of Business Administration.

About VTUEEE 2019:

VTUEEE, Vel Tech University Engineering Entrance Examination, is an online entrance examination conducted every year by VTU University which will offer admission to various departments. Every year more than thousands of aspirants apply for VTUEEE. To take admission in the B.Tech courses, qualifying VTUEEE is compulsory. This examination is conducted in two phases. So, a candidate can apply from one of the two phases.

VTUEEE 2019 Registration:

Registration for the first phase of VTUEEE will tentatively start from the second week of October 2018, and for the second phase of VTUEEE will start from the second week of October 2018. All the interested candidates can register for VTUEEE on the official website www.veltechuniv.edu.in. Then they will have to click on the link ‘Admissions 2019’. After this, candidates shall have to create registration ID and password. Candidates should read the eligibility criteria before registering for the examination.

VTUEEE 2019 Application Form Details:

Candidates can apply for the VTUEEE 2019 through online and offline mode as well.

For online mode:

Candidates can visit the website of University. After registering, candidates shall fill all their personal details, educational details and communication details. Once this is done, candidates will have to choose their center for examination. Then they will be asked to upload a scanned copy of their recent photograph and signature (uploading size should not exceed 100kB). In the end, an application fee of Rs. 950/- shall be paid through debit card/credit card/net banking/paytm wallet.

Note: – Candidates shall provide a valid e-mail id and a mobile number as these will be used for providing all the updates about the examination.

For offline mode:

Candidates can buy the application forms from the regional offices of Veltech University by paying an application fee of 950/- or candidates can also send a Demand Draft for Rs. 950/- in favor of “Veltech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University” payable at Chennai, to The Director- UG Admission, 400 feet outer ring road Avadi, Chennai, along with a requisition letter containing the address of the applicant.

The last date for the submission of phase I application will be January 2019 and for the phase 2 will be tentatively April 2019. All the candidates are advised to fill the form before the last date.

VTUEEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidate should be a citizen of India. If a foreign candidate is applying for the examination, then he/she should have a passport for identity purpose.
  • All the candidates who will apply for VTUEEE 2019, should be less than 25 years as on 1st July 2019. For candidates who belong to the reserved category, will be given age relaxation of five years.
  • A candidate should have passed 10+2 from any recognized state board or central board. If a candidate is appearing for the final examination in 2019, then he/she should submit all the documents of 10+2 while counseling.
  • A candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. Biology or Chemistry will be optional subjects for VTUEEE eligibility.
  • A candidate should have passed qualifying examination with a minimum of 45% for General Category and 40% for Reserved Category.

VTUEEE Exam Pattern:

VTU conducts the examination via offline mode as well as online mode. Phase 1 of VTUEEE will be pen-paper mode examination, and phase 2 will be conducted in online mode as well as offline mode. The duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The question paper will consist of multiple choice type questions and there will be 100 questions in total. For each correct answer, one marks will be awarded. There will be no negative marking in the paper.

VTUEEE 2019 Exam Dates:

VTU will conduct the exam in two phases. Also, it will release admit card in two phases. Candidates can download they admit card from the official website of VTU. Candidates are advised to bring the admit card to the exam hall. Without this, aspirants will not be allowed inside the hall.

Tentatively, the first phase of VTUEEE CBT will be held on 29th December 2018 and 30th December 2018. The first phase of VTUEEE pen-paper mode will be held on 26th January 2019 and 27th January 2019. The second phase of VTUEEE computer-based test and pen paper mode will be held from 25th to 28th May 2019.

Note: – Time slot will be mentioned on the admit card.

The examination will be conducted in two sessions: Morning shift and Evening Shift:

  • Morning Session: 10:00-12:30
  • Evening Session: 2:00-4:30

Results of the examination will be declared on 15th February 2019 for phase 1 and on 5th May 2019 for phase 2 examination. Results will be declared on the official website of VTU. No hard copy of the result will be sent to any candidate. So, all the aspirants are advised to check the official website for updates. It is advised to download the result in pdf form as it will be used in the future. Answer key will be released after the declaration of results. Candidates can check the answers.

To all the shortlisted candidates, who have cleared the cut-offs set by the University, will get a confirmation mail about their ranks secured. A merit list will be prepared by the authorities based on the marks scored by the candidates. VTU does not have any provision of re-evaluation. Ranks will not be the same for all courses. It will vary according to the courses.

After the declaration of final results, selected candidates will be called for counseling round. All the candidates shall be present in person during counseling. VTU will inform all the shortlisted candidates about their counseling venue through the mail. Counseling will be done in two phases.

VITEEE 2019 Preparation Tips:

  • First of all, candidates should make a timetable.
  • Solve all the previous year papers and sample papers.
