UPES M.Tech Registration:

The UPES M.Tech admissions require buying a UPES Prospectus and Application Form – online or offline by demand draft or cash. Candidates registering online need to do so by visiting the above-mentioned site and by entering a name, dob, email id, mobile number, nationality, country, state, city and the particular PG program he or she wishes to get admitted to. After successfully registering, a mail is sent to the candidate to verify the mail id along with a link which the candidate needs to open to start filling out the application form.

UPES M.Tech Application Form Details:

Candidates when filling in the application form for the UPES M.Tech admissions need to keep the following details in mind.

Part A of the form consists of personal details.

Part B of the form consists of scanned copies of recent passport size photograph and signature.

Part C of the form will consist of details regarding previous qualifications – Class 10, 12 and graduation.

Part D of the form will consist of choosing programme preference and application pathway. Candidates opting for exam need to select ‘UPES MEET’ and candidates choosing non-exam will have to enter their GATE scores.

Part E of the form will consist of work experience (if any).

UPES M.Tech Rules and Regulations:

Candidates who apply for the UPES M.Tech need to keep in mind the following rules and regulations as are given below.

  • Candidates who apply for M.Tech (full-time) with GATE scores (among the top 10 percentile in their respective fields – as mentioned by their GATE scores) are eligible for a half-time assistance fellowship. Details will be available in the admissions office regarding the same.
  • To be eligible for the fellowship (in a continuous manner), candidates need to have a minimum CGPA/SGPA of 8.0 in the 1st semester and subsequent semesters and year.
  • Admissions to the various course will be purely merit-based. No form of extraneous pressure or canvassing will be tolerated.

UPES M.Tech Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for the courses under the M.Tech degree are different. Particular of each course, with a specialization, are given below.

  • Tech in Chemical Engineering with specialization in Process Design Engineering – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and a B.tech or B.E in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology/Petrochemical Engineering/Petroleum Engineering with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Tech Computer Science and Engineering – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and a B.Tech/B.E in IT/CSE/EEE/ECE/Instrumentation and Control with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Tech Energy Systems – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and a B.Tech/B.E in Electrical/Electronics/EEE/Mechanical/Chemical/Instrumentation and Control Engineering with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Tech Pipeline Engineering – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and a B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical/Civil/Chemical/Petroleum/Engineering with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Tech Automation and Robotics Engineering – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and a B.Tech/ B.E in Electronics/EEE/Mechanical/Computer Science & Engineering/Electrical/Instrumentation and Control Engineering with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Tech Computational Fluid Dynamics – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and a B.Tech/B.E in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical/Civil/Chemical with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Tech in Health, Safety & Environment with Specialization in Disaster Management – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognised board and a B.Tech/B.E in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Industrial Safety/Petroleum Engineering/Geo-Science Engineering/Fire Safety Engineering/Electronics/Geo-Informatics with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognised university.
  • Tech in Renewable Energy Engineering – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and a B.Tech/B.E in Electrical/Electronics/EEE/Mechanical/Chemical/Instrumentation and Control Engineering with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Tech in Rotating Equipment – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and a B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical/Production and Industrial/Mechatronics/Industrial Automation with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Tech in Structural Engineering – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and a B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Tech in Healthy, Safety and Environmental Engineering – A minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th standard from a recognised board and a B.Tech/B.E in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Industrial Safety/Petroleum Engineering/Geo-Science Engineering/Fire Safety Engineering/Electronics/Geo-Informatics with a 60% or its equivalent from a recognised university.

UPES M.Tech Exam Pattern:

The UPES M.Tech exam pattern is as follows :

  • The exam will be for 1 hour.
  • The exam will be online.
  • The questions will be objective in nature.
  • There will be 4 sections – General Engineering (30 questions), Engineering Mathematics (10 questions), English (10 questions) and General Aptitude (10 questions).
  • There will be a total of 60 questions and 120 marks.
  • The marking scheme will be +2 for every correct answer.
