About SET UG:

Symbiosis Entrance Test is a common online examination conducted by Symbiosis University every year through which aspirants from all over India get admissions into various undergraduate programmes. Earlier, Symbiosis University used to take different papers for Law, Design, General, and Engineering. But from 2018, SET Law will be SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test), SEED (Symbiosis Entrance Examination for Design), and SITEEE (Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination).

SET 2019 Registration:

All the aspirants can register online for SET on the website Candidates can register from the fourth week of January 2019 to the second week of April 2019. A candidate can appear for more than one paper. Candidates can register for one paper in the morning and for other paper in the afternoon. Aspirants are suggested to make their decision while registering for the examination.

SET 2019 Application Form Details:

All the candidates can fill the application form online on the Website of Symbiosis University. Candidates are advised to fill all the details correctly. Applicants need to enter their personal details, educational details, communication details, etc. A candidate who wants to change his/her entered data shall do it before the closing date of application form. After this, an applicant will not be able to edit the details.

Note: – Changes in City preference and Admission Category will not be entertained after registration.

After choosing the course, a scanned copy of a photograph shall be uploaded and the photograph should not be more than three months old. To complete the application form successfully, they must the examination fee. The candidate may pay the fee through online and offline mode as well.

For Online Mode:

A candidate has three options to pay via online mode-

  • Demand Draft

For Offline Mode:

A candidate can pay the application fee by submitting a Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank in favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune. While making the payment, applicants should choose the mode of Payment as “DD Payment” in “Make Payment” tab. After this, candidates should take the print out of the payment advice form, fill in the DD details, sign, and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis University only at:

  • A candidate should be a resident of India. If a candidate is eligible to apply as a Non- Resident Indian if he/she has appeared for either 10th or 12th standard examination outside India. If an NRI candidate has appeared for 10th outside India, then it is mandatory for him/her, to appear for 12th examination in India.
  • A candidate shall be eligible for SET 2019 if he/she is granted with Overseas Citizenship of India and has a valid OCI card.

SET 2019 Examination Pattern:

SLAT/SEED/SITEE 2019 will be conducted online by the Symbiosis University. The duration of each test will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. The question paper will consist of multiple choice type questions. For each correct question, one marks will be awarded in SLAT and SEED Examination, and two marks will be given in SITEE Examination. There will be no negative marking. All the sections of question paper are mandatory to attempt.

SET 2019 Exam Dates:

Tentatively, candidates will be able to download the admit card from the last week of April 2019 till the first week of May 2019. All the candidates should take a color printout of the admit card.

Note: Black and White printouts will not be accepted at the center.

Examination for UG admissions will be done in two sessions:

Morning Session: 9.30 am to 12.00 noon For SLAT and SEED
Afternoon Session: 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm For SITEEE and SET General

If an applicant has chosen two sessions, then he/she should bring two admit cards (one for the morning session and the other for the evening session).

Note: All the aspirants for morning session should reach the examination center by 7.30 am. After 9.45am, no candidate will be allowed inside the hall. For the afternoon session, all aspirants should report by 12.30 pm. No candidate will be allowed after 2.45 pm.

The scores obtained by the candidates will be released by Symbiosis University on their official website. Results will be declared in the second week of May 2019. Shortlisted candidates who clear the written examination, will be called for Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test OR Studio Test and Personal Interaction. To get all the updates about SET Results, applicants should regularly visit the website.

Note: It is compulsory for all the aspirants to attend the PI and WAT round of SET to be eligible for the admission in the undergraduate programs.

SET 2019 Syllabus:

Symbiosis University has set different papers for different specializations. The questions asked in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, will be of the class 12th level. English Section will consist of question from English Grammar, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension.

Analytical Reasoning will consist of questions from Odd One Out, Coding-Decoding, Data Sufficiency, Statement and Conclusions, Analogies, Syllogism, Blood Relations, and alpha-numeric Series.

General Knowledge will contain questions from Indian History, Economics, Polity, Geography, Art & Culture, and Current Affairs. Legal Reasoning will check the ability of a candidate how they react to real-life scenarios, how they think legally, and how the law to solve a case.

SET 2019 Preparation Tips:

  • Candidates should read the complete syllabus before starting preparation for the examination. They should be familiarized with the topics to be asked in the examinations.
  • Candidates should make a timetable and start giving a fixed amount of time to all the subjects.
  • They should short notes of formulae which will help before examination for revision.
