About SBI Clerk:

SBI Clerk or Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) Examination is an exam which is conducted by State Bank of India every year throughout India. Through this examination, the bank selects eligible candidates for the post of Clerk in its different branches across the country. Candidates who want to become Junior Associates in clerical cadre in State Bank of India.

SBI Clerk 2019 Registration and Application Details:

The registration process for the recruitment of SBI clerk will tentatively start in the third week of January 2019. The candidates can register on the official website of SBI or – Recruitment of Junior Associates. After registration, candidates can fill the application form. Candidates should first scan their photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm) and signature (10kb-20kb). Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS shall not be accepted.

Candidates should have a valid email ID and mobile number which should be kept active till the declaration of results. The call letter or any updates will be informed via SMS or email. Once the application form is filled in completely, candidates should submit the data. A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system which should be noted down.

Note: – No change/edit will be accepted once the form is submitted.

After ensuring the correctness of the particulars of the application form, candidates are required to pay the application fee through online mode. Debit card/credit card/net banking can be used for payment. On successful payment and final submission of the form, candidates are advised to take a printout of the form for future reference.

The application form for different categories is given below:

  • For SC/ST/PwD/XS: Rs. 100/-
  • For General and OBC: Rs. 600/-

SBI Clerk 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must have done graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Candidates who have integrated dual degree certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 1st January 2019.
  • The candidate should not have age below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 1st January 2019 i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier 2nd January 1991 and not later than 1st January 1999. Age relaxation for different categories:

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern:

The examination process will consist of an online test – preliminary test and mains test and test of specified opted local language.

The preliminary examination will be conducted through online mode. The maximum marks for preliminary examination will be 100 marks in total. The duration of the test will be 60 minutes. Each question will carry one marks. The structure of examination is given below:

There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the test. 1/4th of the marks assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Note: – The language of the paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except English section.

Test of Specified opted local language:

The candidates who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any language test.

  • Reasoning: Logical Reasoning, Alphanumeric Series, Ranking/Direction/Alphabet Test, Data Sufficiency, Coded Inequalities, Seating Arrangement, Puzzle, Tabulation, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Input Output, and Coding Decoding.
  • Quantitative Ability: Simplification, Profit & Loss, Mixture & Alligations, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Surds & Indices, Work & Time, Time & Distance, Mensuration, Data Interpretation, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Number Systems, Sequence & Series, and Permutations & Combinations.
  • English Language: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Para Jumbles, Miscellaneous, Fill in the Blanks, Multiple Meaning, Error Spotting, and Paragraph Completion.

SBI Clerk 2019 Exam Dates:

The preliminary examination will be held in the month of March/April 2019 (tentatively). The candidates should download their call letter and an “acquaint yourself booklet” by entering their registration number and password/date of birth from the Bank’s website from 1st March 2018 onwards. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent.

The result of the preliminary examination will be tentatively declared after two weeks of examination. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination will not be added for the selection and only the aggregate marks obtained in the Main examination.

Candidates qualified for the main examination would be able to download their call letter from the Bank’s website from the last week of April 2019. The main examination will be conducted tentatively in the second week of May 2019.

The result of the main examination will be declared in the month of July 2019. All the candidates who have qualified for the final selection will be made available on the Bank’s website.
