The SASTRA admission will be based on the overall percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination.

SASTRA M.Tech Rules and Regulations:

The candidates appearing for the SASTRA Deemed University Admission Examination 2019 must follow certain guidelines prescribed below –

  1. Biometric information (photograph and fingerprints) for randomly selected candidates may be captured before the Examination starts.
  2. Candidates must carry their Admit card and original valid ID proof to the examination hall.
  3. A scribble pad will be provided to the candidates for their rough work where the candidates must mention there his/her name and registration number on top of the pad.
  4. Carrying of electronic devices to the Examination hall by the candidates are strictly prohibited.
  5. Candidates are not allowed to carry any printed or handwritten material inside the Examination hall.
  6. There should not be any kind of communication between the candidates inside the Examination hall.
  7. Candidates are prohibited to tamper with the computer or any other related hardware provided in the Examination hall.
  8. Any candidate found violating the above-mentioned guidelines will be disqualified. In addition, appropriate legal actions may be taken against the guilty candidate.

SASTRA M.Tech Registration:

In order to apply for the SASTRA admission 2019, the candidates need to register themselves on the official website by providing the following details –

  1. Name of the applicant
  2. Date of birth
  3. Mobile number and email id
  4. Age
  5. The campus for which the candidate is applying, as there are two options
  • Main Campus – Thanjavur
  • SRC Kumbakonam

Lastly, the candidates will have to enter the security code displayed on the screen.

SASTRA M.Tech Application Form Details:

After the successful registration, candidates have to proceed towards filling the application form. The application form of SASTRA 2019 will be available online as well as offline mode.

The steps to fill in the Online application form for the year 2019 are as under:

  • The Online application form will be available on the official website of the Academy i.e., and the direct link will also be provided there.
  • Candidates need to provide few details pertaining to personal information, the address of communication and other details like occupation and income of the applicant’s father and mother
  • Next is entering the choice of courses which needs to be filled in the order of preference, a maximum of three options can be entered.
  • The candidate also has to provide his/her GATE registration number, marks out of 100 and qualifying marks – General.
  • After filling in all the details, Candidates need to upload the scanned copy of the current photograph and the signature as per the instructions prescribed and proceed towards payment of fees.
  • Fee payment details – The Candidates are required to pay Rs.650 as application fee through any of the three modes –
  • Payment through Demand Draft – The Candidates has to fill in the Demand Draft number, issuing bank, drawn bank and the date on which Demand Draft is being issued. Demand Draft of Rs.650 has to be drawn in favor of SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur. It has to be sent via Speed Post/courier along with the application form.
  • Online Payment – It can be paid via net banking or debit/credit card.
  • Cash Payment – It has to be paid in person directly to the Office of SASTRA University.
  • Submission – After filling in all the asked details accurately and paying the application fees, it needs to be submitted therein. In case of Demand Draft payment, candidates will have to send a printout of the completed application form along with the Demand Draft to the address mentioned:

SASTRA M.Tech 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates those who will be satisfying all the eligibility criteria for the courses offered by the SASTRA Deemed University Admission 2019 will only be considered appropriate for the admission.

  1. Nationality –The Nationality of the appearing candidates should be Indian.
  2. Qualifying Examination – Candidates must have qualified the B.E/ B. Tech from any of the recognized Board or the University with a minimum of 60% marks and the qualification degree must be in the particular stream in which the candidates are applying for.
  3. GATE Score – Candidates who will have the GATE Exam score will be able to apply for the admission directly i.e. by just filling the Application Form.
  4. Appearing Candidates – Final year Candidates will also be eligible to take the entrance exam conducted by the Academy.
