The university not only offers startling courses for undergrads, but it is a remarkable platform for post-graduation as well.

It offers several undergraduates as well as postgraduate courses including B. Tech, B. Arch, MBA, MCA, M.Tech and M.Arch. The university also provides Ph.D. courses at the research level.

The registration procedure of all the courses is mentioned in the section below, followed by application form details, rules and regulations of the university, eligibility criteria, important dates, examination pattern, syllabus for examination and in the end is the section of preparation tips. We want you to be right on time and don’t miss any deadlines be it the last date for registration or the commencement of counseling.

KTU 2019 Admission Process:

The admission in different courses is done through different mediums mentioned below:

KTU 2019 Registration Process:

The sequence of steps to be followed for registration is as mentioned:

STEP 1 – Visit the official website of:

STEP 2 – Registration: The first time users should proceed with registration by clicking on “Register”.

You will receive a verification email to activate your account. After you complete the verification, go back to the official website and enter your Login credentials (generated after the registration) to login to your account.

STEP 3 – Login using the respective username and password and sign up. You can reset your password in case you don’t remember the password.

STEP 4 – Fill the application form carefully. The application form details are mentioned in the next section.

STEP 5 – Fill your choice: select the course you want to apply for according to your preference.

STEP 6 – Review your application form and go ahead and submit it.

STEP 7 – Payment of application fee.

KTU 2019 Application Form Details:

The applicants are required to fill in the following details in the application form.

The candidates are strictly advised to give primary contact details that they actively use.

Academic information.

  • Details of matriculation.
  • Detail of 12th
  • Graduation details.
  • Details regarding the respective entrance examination.

KTU 2019 Rules and Regulations:

The rules and regulations mentioned below are as per the guidelines mentioned by KTU.

  1. The first stage involves qualifying the respective examination required for the admission in the desired course. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance.
  2. The candidates go through various rounds of counseling before the admission. The counseling will take place online. The candidates will be allotted seats in any of the participating institutes depending on their rank.
  3. A merit list is prepared based on the application form and the following points are taken into consideration while preparing the list:
  • AIR scored in the respective entrance examination.
  • Marks scored by the candidate in the examination.
  1. When called for counseling, candidates are required to carry:
  • 10th standard mark sheet or Birth Certificate.
  • 10th standard, 12th standard and degree examination mark sheet.
  • Scorecard.
  • Category Certificate (if applicable).

The candidates who are allotted seats at KTU while counseling will have to report to the admission centers for verification of the credentials  with the following documents:

  • Income certificate for reserved category candidates.
  • Transfer Certificate and Character Certificate from the previous institute.
  • Gap Certificate (If there is a gap during Studies).
  • Migration Certificate (if a candidate belongs to some other state board or university).
  • AADHAR card.
  • Any other document mentioned.

 And payment of fees on the specified date, time and venue. If the candidate fails to show up, his/her application will be considered canceled and will not be entertained later.

KTU 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

Course Criteria
BE/B. Tech è Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with an aggregate of at least 50% marks in PCM collectively.

è Admission to B.Tech program will be offered based on the score obtained in KEAM 2019.

B. Arch è Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of at least 50% marks with Mathematics as a compulsory subject or 3-year Diploma in any stream from a recognized institute.

è Admission to B.Arch will be granted based on NATA 2019.

ME/M. Tech è Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university with an aggregate of at least 60% marks.

è Admission to M.Tech will be granted based on a valid score obtained in GATE 2019.

MCA è Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with an aggregate of at least 50% marks to seek admission to MCA course.

è Admission will be offered based on the score obtained in Kerala CEE MCA 2019.

MBA è The minimum eligibility to pursue MBA is Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks from a recognized board.

è Admission will be offered based on a valid score obtained in CMAT/ CAT/ KMAT.

3. CAT The question paper is divided in 3 sections namely:

·      Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC): It comprises 34 questions The total marks for this section is 102 and 60 minutes are provided to complete the examination.

·      Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR): It comprises 32 questions The total marks for this section is 96 and 60 minutes are provided to complete the examination.

·      Quantitative Ability (QA): It comprises 34 questions The total marks for this section is 102 and 60 minutes are provided to complete the examination.

4. CMAT a.     Mode of examination: Online.

b.     Type of questions: Multiple choice questions.

c.      Medium of examination: English Medium.

d.     Marking scheme: 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer.

KTU 2019 Preparation Tips:

First things first, you need a plan. A plan helps you every step of the way and brings you closer to your goal. It saves your time of going back and forth and lets you move only in one direction and that is forward.

STEP 1 – Note down your goals.

STEP 2 – Divide your goals into smaller tasks.

STEP 3 – Assign a deadline for every task.

STEP 4 – Make a plan to execute the tasks.

STEP 5 – Start the execution of the plan.
