IPU PGCET 2019: Application, Exam Date, Exam Center, Syllabus, EligibilityGuru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, formerly known as Indraprastha University, is a public state university recognized by UGC and located in Dwarka (Delhi). There are 15 schools and 2 centers under Indraprastha University. The university grants various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different disciplines.

About IPU PGCET:

The admissions to the programmes of studies in the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University are primarily conducted through common entrance test by the University. It is mandatory to appear for CET to get admission. Through CET, a candidate can get admission in the below courses:

  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master of Business Administration (Information Technology)
  • Master of Computer Application
  • Master of Physiotherapy
  • Master of Occupational Therapy
  • Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics
  • Master of Science
  • Master of Arts
  • Master of Education

IPU PGCET 2019 Registration:

All the applicants can register for the Common Entrance Test on the official website of University www.ipu.ac.in. Registration for CET 2019 will tentatively start in the second week of February 2019.

IPU PGCET 2019 Application Form:

Candidates can fill the application form for the admission to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University from the university website. There will be two forms: one will contain information regarding personal details and second will contain course and payment details. A candidate can fill more than one forms but individual registration needs to be done for choosing the courses of a different discipline. While filling the application form, a scanned copy of photograph, signature, and thumb impression has to be uploaded on the website.

Note: – A candidate cannot apply twice for the same course. The last date to apply for the Common Entrance Test will be in the second week of April 2019.

An application fee of Rs. 1000/- has to be paid through online mode to appear for the examination. Debit Card/Credit Card/Net-Banking. Applicants should retain a printout of the application form for future reference.

Indraprastha University PGCET Eligibility Criteria:

For Master of Business Administration:

  • A candidate should have 3 years or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

  • A candidate should have done Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or any other qualification recognized as equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

  • A candidate should have passed the Final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

For Master of Business Administration (Information Technology):

  • A candidate should have done Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

OR

  • A candidate should have done M.Sc. (CS), M.Sc. (IT), M.Sc. (Electronics) or MCA with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate

For MCA:

  • A candidate should have done Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and must have passed Mathematics and English in 10+2 level examination.

OR

  • A candidate should have BCA/BIT/BIS with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

  • A candidate should have done Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

For Master of Arts/Master of Education:

A candidate should have done graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

For Master of Arts (Economics):

A candidate should have a Bachelor Degree in Economics with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

For Master of Physiotherapy:

  • A candidate should have passed in Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme of 4.5 years duration with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized university.

OR

  • Candidates should have passed Bachelor of Physiotherapy/B.Sc. (Physiotherapy) of 3.5 years duration with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized university.

For Master of Occupational Therapy (Neurology):

A candidate should have done Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

For Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics:

A candidate should have done Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

For Master of Science (Environmental Management):

  • A candidate should have done B.Sc. or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

OR

  • A candidate should have done B.Sc. (Engg.), B.Tech. or B.E in Civil/Chemical/Agricultural Engg. Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

For Master of Laws (LLM):

A candidate should have passed LL.B Degree as required by the Bar Council of India Enrolment as an Advocate or an equivalent Law Degree from a Foreign University with a minimum of 50% aggregate

For Master of Science (Forensic Sciences):

  • A candidate should have passed B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics or Applied Physics or Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry or Toxicology or Industrial Chemistry or Mathematics or Statistics or Biology with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

OR

  • A candidate should have done B.Sc. (Forensic Sciences) with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized university.

OR

  • A candidate should have done B.Tech (Mechanical/Civil/Electronics/Instrumentation/Chemical Engineering/Computer Science) with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.

For Master of Science (Nursing):

  • The candidate should be a registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • The candidate should have done B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

Indraprastha University PGCET 2019 Exam Pattern:

The University will conduct the examination through pen-paper mode. Candidates can answer on the OMR sheet. For each correct answer, four marks will be given. 150 minutes will be given to the candidates.

Note: – There will be negative marking. For each wrong answer, one marks will be deducted.

Indraprastha University PGCET 2019 Exam Date:

As per the authorities, the exam will be conducted in the second week of May 2019. The admit card shall be available online, on or before 5 days of the date of the CET. The admit cards may be downloaded from the candidate’s individual account using log-in ID and password. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card issued by the University.

Results will be declared in the first week of June 2019 on the official website of University. After the declaration of result, candidates will be called for counseling after two weeks.

Indraprastha University PGCET 2019 Preparation Tips:

  • Candidates should make a timetable as per their suitability.
  • Candidates should go through the syllabus before starting to prepare.
  • Candidates should solve all the previous year question papers and mock tests. This will boost up the confidence.
