IISER offers to scholars admission into a  5 years course of Dual Degree BS-MS. The seven participating institutes located across the breadth of the nation (Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati and Berhampur ) are deemed prestigious.

 

 

Admission into IISER takes place through three gateways:

  • Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KYPY)
  • JEE Advanced Score
  • State and Central Boards Channel (IISER Aptitude Test)

 Candidates opting for State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) have to appear in IISER Aptitude Test 2019. The registration for the exam is expected to commence from May and last till June. the registration shall take place online and there is no offline procedure for the same.

IISER 2019 Admission test is expected to take place in June 2019. The test is an offline examination (pen and paper-based) and is available only in English. The examination will cover portions from MAthematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. For all updates, applicants must visit the official website, www.iiseradmission.in.

The syllabus covered under IISER Admission Test 2019 assesses a candidate’s basic cognitive skills and allows a holistic perspective of the applicant’s knowledge and presence of mind. The exam pattern and syllabus will follow from past trends and mentioned guidelines.

Candidates can download the admit card via the official website of IISER. The university will issue the admit card through online mode only. Approximately two weeks before the date of the entrance exam, the applicants will be able to obtain their admit card. It is important for the candidates to take the Admit Card with them while going to the examination center. The results are expected to be released in July 2019.

Candidates applying through the KVPY and the JEE channels should keep the specific requirements in mind and should follow the prescribed guidelines.

IISER 2019 Registration:

STEP BY STEP ONLINE REGISTRATION GUIDE

STEP 1: REGISTER

  • Applicants need to visit the official website, iiseradmission.in, to register.
  • Personal Details such as the candidate’s Name, DoB, Email ID and Phone Number need to be provided to register.

STEP 2: VERIFY

  • An auto-generated mail will be sent to the candidate’s email ID and an SMS to the registered phone number for verification.

STEP 3: LOGIN AND FILL APPLICATION FORM

  • The login credentials thus generated will be sent to the candidate’s email ID.
  • Using those, candidates need to login onto the site and fill the application form.
  • The Application Form requires the candidate’s to furnish correct data since there is no provision for modifications.

STEP 4: TEST CITY CENTERS

  • The candidates also need to fill in their preference for TEST CITY CENTERS from the specific list present in the form.

STEP 5: UPLOADING DOCUMENTS

  • Basic documents such as the candidate’s photograph and signature need to be uploaded in the prescribed format.

STEP 6: PAYMENT OF FEE

  • The Application fee for IISER Admission Test 2019 can only be paid online
  • The application fee is non-refundable.
  • The candidates can check the application fee category wise is:
    • For General/OBC-NCL Candidates – Rs. 2000/-
    • For SC/ST/PWD/Kashmiri Migrants – Rs. 1000/-
  • Applicants can make the online payment using either net banking or credit/debit cards via the integrated payment gateway.

IISER 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

NATIONALITY

Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders, and Overseas Citizen Of India Cardholder (OCI) are eligible to apply.

Channel 1: KVPY ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicants should have a valid KVPY scholarship from 2019-2020.

Channel 2: JEE ADVANCED ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicants should qualify the JEE Advanced examination & obtain a rank within 10000 in the CRL (Common Rank List).
  • The category rank (within 10000) will be considered for OBC-NC/SC/ST/PWD category candidates.

Channel 3: SCB (IISER Aptitude Test) ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicant should have passed the 12th standard examination or an equivalent exam from the science stream in the year 2018 or 2019 with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • Applicant must have secured marks equivalent to or above the cut-off percentage marks of their respective board exam.

  • For the candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer of the Other Backward Classes (OBCNC) and Persons with Disability (PD) categories, there is a 5% relaxation.
  • The cut-off percentage for the Scheduled Castes (SC), the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Kashmiri Migrants (KM) candidates is 55% in (10+2) level for all boards.

IISER 2019 Rules and Regulations:

Certain Rules and Regulations are followed with reference to the admission procedure at IISER. These must be taken seriously by the candidates.

  • Candidate should be the citizen of India, a POI/OCI Card Holder.
  • The candidate has passed 12th from or equivalent examination from central or state-based recognized university.
  • Candidates must have scored minimum 55% marks and should be from the science stream.
  • Candidates have to be present at the examination center.
  • For admission to courses in the particular department, selected candidates are required to attend to counseling process in person.
  • The University will publish the list of shortlisted candidates for counseling on the official website.
  • On the basis of marks scored in the entrance test, the allotment of seats will be done.
