The registration process for the same is available only in the online mode and is expected to commence in April 2019 and last till May 2019. The application form is available on the official website, www.iiitd.ac.in. The exam pattern and the syllabus follow from the past trends and mentioned guidelines. A tentative schedule has been circulated but an official notification for the dates is awaited.

The written test and the interview are both held at the IIIT-D campus. The results will be declared in May-June 2019 and the counseling for various courses will commence henceforth.

STEP BY STEP ONLINE REGISTRATION GUIDE

STEP 1: REGISTER

  • Applicants need to visit the official website, iiitd.ac.in, to register for IIITD M.tech programmes 2019
  • Personal Details such as the candidate’s Name, DoB, Email ID and Phone Number need to be provided to register.

STEP 2: VERIFY

  • An auto-generated mail will be sent to the candidate’s email ID and an SMS to the registered phone number for verification.

STEP 3: LOGIN AND FILL APPLICATION FORM

  • The login credentials thus generated will be sent to the candidate’s email ID.
  • Using those, candidates need to login onto the site and fill the application form.
  • The Application Form requires the candidate’s to furnish correct data since there is no provision for modifications.

STEP 4: PAYMENT OF FEE

  • The Application fee for can only be paid online. Applicants can make online payment of INR 360 using either net banking or credit/debit cards via the integrated payment gateway.

The eligibility criteria for various courses are detailed below:

M.Tech (CB)

A list of the eligible courses is listed here:

  1. Tech/BE in CS/IT/Math-and-Computing
    or
  2. Tech/BE in any other discipline
  3. MCA
  4. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Sciences)
  5. Pharm
  6. MBBS

For Point 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 the applicants must have done the following either during their qualifying degree or from the recognized institution / online education portal:

  1. at least one computer programming course, and
  2. at least two Mathematics courses
  • All candidates must have CGPA of at least 6.5 (6.0 for reserved categories) out of 10 or 65% in the qualifying exam.
  • The candidate must have at least 60% (55% for reserved categories) in all previous degrees including 10+2.
  • While valid GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET is not mandatory, candidates with any one of these will be given additional weight.

M.Tech (CSE)

  • Applicants must have a B.Tech/BE or MCA/MSc in CS/IT (& its allied areas) degree with a CGPA of at least 7.00 (6.0 for reserved categories) out of 10 or 65% (60% for reserved categories) marks.
  • Both GATE and Non-GATE candidates are eligible to apply for admission.

M.Tech (ECE)

  • Tech/BE in ECE/EE (& its allied areas) or MSc in Electronics (for ECE) with a CGPA of at least 7.00 (6.0 for reserved categories) out of 10 or 65% (60% for reserved categories) marks.
  • Both GATE and Non-GATE candidates are eligible to apply for admission.

The written examination pattern along with the syllabus is given below:

  • The Written test will contain objective and/or short subjective questions.
  • The questions will cover a B.Tech. CSE / ECE curriculum.
  • The written test for ECE may contain pseudo-code questions to test the ability in microcontroller/FPGA programming.
  • In the programming test for CSE, written and executed programs in one of four languages (C, C++, C#, JAVA) may be asked.
