About IBPS PO 2019:

IBPS PO is one of the competitive Banking examinations that is conducted by IBPS every year for the selection to the post of the Probationary Officers in the various Indian Banks. List of participating organizations is given below:

About IBPS PO 2018 Registration and Application Form Details:

The candidates can register and apply for the IBPS PO 2018 only from 14th August 2018 to 4th September 2018. There is only online mode available for the examination. No offline application will be accepted. The candidates can register for IBPS PO 2018 on the official website www.ibps.in. Candidates can apply by clicking on the link “CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR CRP-PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (CRP-PO/MT-VIII).

Before applying for the IPBS PO 2018, candidates should keep a scanned copy of their photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm), signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration (given in the website only). The handwritten declaration has to be written by the candidate and should be in English only.

Note: – A candidate should not upload signature in CAPITAL letters.

All the applicants should provide a valid e-mail id and the mail it should be kept active till the declaration of the results. IBPS can send the call letters for different stages through the mail id.

After filling all the details in the application form, an application fee must be paid by the applicant. The fee can be paid through debit card/credit card/net banking/Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets/IMPS. There will be no offline mode available for payment. The application fee as per the category of the candidate is given below:

  • For SC/ST/PWD candidates: Rs. 100/- (Intimation Charges only)
  • For all others: Rs. 600/- (Application fee plus intimation charges)

On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated. The candidates should keep a copy of e-receipt and application form for future reference.

Note: – The application fee paid once will not be refunded at any circumstances. An application form with incomplete details will be considered invalid.

IBPS PO 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India or Nepal of Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • A candidate should be of minimum 20 years and maximum of 30 years i.e. he/she must have been born earlier than 2nd August 1988 and not later than 1st August 1998. A relaxation of 5 years, 3 years, 10 years, and 5 in age has been given to SC/ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PWD and Ex-Defence candidates respectively. A relaxation of 5 years has been given to the candidates ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period of 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 and persons affected by 1984 riots.
  • A candidate should have done graduation in any stream from a recognized university by the Government of India.

IBPS PO 2018 Exam Pattern:

The IBPS PO 2018 will be conducted through online mode. The examination will be of two-tier (two phases) – preliminary and online main.

In the tier1, each question will be of one marks.  The maximum marks in total are 100 marks. There will be a penalty for wrong answers. For each incorrect attempt, 0.25 of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted. Except for the English section, the language of the other two sections will be English and Hindi.

The structure of tier 1 is given below:

The candidates have to qualify each of the three tests individually.

The mode of the language of all the sections except English will be set in English and Hindi both. The maximum marks for tier 2 online examination are 200 marks. Apart from the above four sections, there will be an essay writing test where 2 essays on any topic will be given to the candidates. The two essays will carry 25 marks in total. The time duration for the essay writing test is 30 minutes. The medium of the essay test will be English only.

Candidates who clear the written main examination will be called for the interview round. The total marks allotted for interview are 100. The weight of the online main examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively.

IBPS PO 2018 Exam Dates:

The preliminary examination will be conducted on four dates given below:

  • 13th October 2018
  • 14th October 2018
  • 20th October 2018
  • 21st October 2018

The call letter for the preliminary examination will be uploaded on the official website of IBPS in the first week of October 2018. Candidates are advised to regularly keep in touch with the authorized IBPS website for important updates about the examination.

The result of the preliminary examination will be declared in the second week of November 2018. Candidates can check the result on the IBPS website by entering their application id and password. After the declaration of results, shortlisted candidates will be called for the online mains examination.

The online main examination of IPBS PO 2018 will be held on 18th November 2018. The results for the same will be tentatively declared in the second week of December 2018. After this, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview round. According to the recruiting body, the interview will be tentatively held in the month of January or February 2019.

After this, the final merit list will be made and the candidates will be allotted different branches of Indian Banks based on their scores and availability of vacancies in the branches.
