HSTES 2019: Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, SyllabusHaryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES), formerly known as Haryana State Counselling Society, is established under Haryana Government for implementation of transparent and uniform procedure for granting admissions to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses in different disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy, Management, etc. HSTES offers three different ways to grant admissions in the following courses:

  1. Diploma Engineering
  2. Tech and B.Arch.

HSTES Diploma Engineering:

Candidates, who want to pursue their career in various Diploma programmes like Diploma Engineering Lateral Entry and Diploma Pharmacy, can complete their courses through HSTES. HSTES provides three different ways of Diploma courses which are given below:

  • Diploma Engineering
  • Diploma Engineering Lateral Entry
  • Diploma Pharmacy

HSTES Diploma Engineering Registration:

Registration for Diploma Engineering 2019 will tentatively start from the third week of April 2019. All the aspirants should regularly check the official website of HSTES for updates.

After registration, candidates can apply for the examination through their registered id and password on http://www.onlinetesthry.gov.in. The candidates can fill their personal details, communication details. A scanned copy of photograph and a signature will be uploaded while filling the form.  All the details should exactly match with the details of the qualifying examination.

After this, all the candidates shall pay the application fee. This can be done by online mode or offline mode. A candidate can pay the fee by debit card/credit card/net-banking or through e-Challan which can be generated while filling the application form. Challan can be deposited on the following banks:

  • Axis Bank
  • Punjab National Bank

Given below is the fee for different categories:

  • For General Category: Rs. 500/-
  • For All Reserved Categories (SC/BC/PH/FF/ESM/KM/HGST/Girls): Rs. 200/-

Note: – Application fee once paid will not be refunded.

All the candidates after submission of application fee and deposit of fee shall report at the designated center along with relevant documents for verification and confirmation of online filled application form.

HSTES Diploma Engineering Admissions:

Admission in Diploma Engineering shall be done on the basis of merit of Secondary School Examination or any other equivalent examination. For admission to the first year in Diploma Engineering, there will be no examination.

HSTES Eligibility Criteria for Diploma Engineering:

  • A candidate should have passed 10th standard or SSC examination with a minimum of 35% (33% for SC/ST/KM) at the qualifying examination.
  • A candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with Maths and Science as mandatory subjects.

HSTES Diploma Engineering Lateral Entry:

Candidates can start applying for the examination through the website. There will be no offline option for registration for DET.  A candidate who wants lateral entry to this course shall have to appear for HSTES DET 2019. Through this examination, aspirants can get admission to different polytechnic programmes offered by HTES.  DET (L) is mandatory for admission to Diploma Engineering Lateral Entry Course.

DET (L) is an online examination which is conducted by HSTES to grant lateral admissions in various departments. The level of examination is based on the 12th standard of Board of School Education Haryana. The language of question paper will be English only. It will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions of one marks each and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The question paper will be divided into four sections given below:

Candidates who will apply for lateral entry can download they admit card from the official website https://www.onlinetesthry.gov.in. Tentatively, candidates can download the admit card from the second week of May 2019 and the examination will be held in the last week of May 2019. All the candidates are advised to bring the admit card with photograph attested by gazetted officer. Without this, they will not be allowed inside the examination hall. Apart from this, they shall have to bring a government ID for identity.

Declaration of the result will be done on the official website of HSTES in the third week of June 2019.

HSTES Eligibility Criteria for Diploma Engineering (Lateral Entry):

  • A candidate who has passed ITI of at least two years duration, 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics, 10+2 class passed with NSQF level 4, will be eligible for the examination.
  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 in Arts or Commerce stream will be eligible for Non-Engineering Diploma courses.

HSTES Diploma Pharmacy Admissions:

Candidates who want to complete two years of Diploma in Pharmacy shall be selected on the basis of inter-state merit of rank prepared on the basis of % of marks of qualifying examination through online off-campus counseling at http://www.techadmissionshry.gov.in. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, and English.

HSTES Eligibility Criteria for Diploma Pharmacy:

  • A candidate should have passed 12th or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 35% from a recognized board.
  • He/she should have the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics OR Biology as mandatory subjects.

B.Tech/B.Arch. Courses:

A candidate can get admission in B.Tech and B.Arch. courses by two methods:

  • Direct Admission in B.Tech/B.Arch. Engineering
  • Tech/B.Arch. Lateral Entry Admission

HSTES Engineering Course Registration:

The registration process is the same as that of Diploma Engineering Registration. The application fee is the same for all the courses.

HSTES B.Tech/B.Arch. Direct Admissions:

On the basis of marks scored in JEE Main 2019, HSTES will grant admission in various courses of B.Tech or B.Arch. For admission in the first year, candidates can apply for admissions through JEE Mains scores.

A candidate should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% (42.75 for Reserved Category) and with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with the following subjects:

  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Biotechnology/Other optional subjects

Note: – To get admission in B.Tech (Biotechnology), a candidate should have any one of the following:

  • Chemistry
  • Biotech
  • Computer Science

HSTES B.Tech/B.Arch. (Lateral Entry):

Candidates who want admission to the second year via Lateral Entry method shall have to appear for an online entrance examination known as HSTES LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Examination). This examination is conducted by HSTES every year. It is a state level examination giving admissions to students in various private and government colleges.

LEET is an online entrance examination for all streams of Engineering/Technology Diploma Holders seeking admission in the second year. The written examination will be a computer-based test. It will consist of 90 multiple choice type questions. For each correct question, one mark will be awarded. There will be divided into two sections:

  • First Section: This section will be common for all streams:

According to the authorities, LEET 2019 will be conducted in the second week of June 2019. Candidates will be able to download their admit card at the end of May 2019. Result for the same examination will be declared at the end of June 2019.

Based on the marks scored by the aspirants, HSTES will release a merit list for the shortlisted candidates. Candidates can check their result on the official website http://www.onlinetesthry.nic.in. All the selected candidates will be further called for counseling round.
