GUJCET 2019: Application Form, Exam Date & Pattern, Eligibility CriteriaIf going for the esteemed colleges of the state is your interest, then this is a really good option. GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) 2019 will be managed by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB). It is a state level examination which provides admissions in engineering and technology (BE/B.Tech) and pharmacy (degree/diploma). Through this exam, candidates can get admission to government, grant-in-aid & self-financed institutions located in the state of Gujarat.

GUJCET Application Form:

The candidates can get the application form only from the official website. The GUJCET registration form will be available from the last week of March till the second week of April 2019. The application fee is Rs 300. The candidates need to upload their scanned signatures and photographs in a JPG/JPEG format, having the size from 5KB to 50KB, as well as aadhar card. The candidates should note down the application form number for future references and should take out the print out of the form as well. There will be no corrections once the form has been submitted.

GUJCET Eligibility Criteria:

For Engineering: –

  • The student should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
  • The minimum marks should be 45% for the general and OBC category and 40% in the case of SC, ST, and SEBC.
  • The candidates should have Maths and Physics as the primary subjects along with one of these subjects (Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical vocational subjects) as their optional subject
  • Appearing candidates can also apply

For Pharmacy degree courses: –

  • The student should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
  • The minimum marks should be 45% for the general and OBC category and 40% in the case of SC, ST, and SEBC.
  • The candidates should have Chemistry and Physics as the primary subjects along with one of these subjects (Mathematics/Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical vocational subjects) as their optional subject

For Pharmacy diploma courses: –

  • The student should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
  • The candidates should have Chemistry and Physics as the primary subjects along with one of these subjects (Mathematics/Biology) as their optional subject.

GUJCET Exam Pattern:

  • The examination will be organized through offline mode.
  • The question paper will be asked in English, Hindi & Gujarati language.
  • Total 40 multiple choice questions will be asked from each subject.
  • The examination will be of 3 hours.
  • For engineering exam, candidates have to attempt Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics sections. For the Biology exam, candidates can attempt Physics, Chemistry & Biology sections.
  • Each section will carry 40 marks. The total question paper will be of 120 marks.
  • For each correct answer, one mark will be granted to the candidate and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer, as there is negative marking for wrong answers.

GUJCET Admit Card:

After the submission of the application form, the GUJCET 2019 admit card will be available in online mode in the first week of May 2019. It will be issued only after entering application form number or name. It is compulsory to carry GUJCET hall ticket 2019 in the examination hall. Candidates must read the instructions printed on it. If candidates found any discrepancy in it, they should inform the officials immediately

GUJCET 2019 Answer Key:

After a few days of examinations, candidates will get the official answer key on the website. GUJCET answer key 2019 may be released in the third week of May 2019. With the help of it, candidates can calculate their rough marks to qualify the examination. Along with answer key, the board also releases question papers separately for Gujarati-English & Hindi medium.

GUJCET 2019 Result:

Candidates will be able to check their results in the fourth week of May 2019 online on the official site. They can view GUJCET 2019 result by entering their application number on the dialog box . The merit list will be prepared based on 60% weightage of percentile marks secured in the theory exam of class 12th & 40% weightage of percentile marks get in GUJCET exam.

GUJCET Counselling:

The counselling will be organized by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat. It will be conducted in online mode.

Before appearing in the counselling, successful candidates will have to get Information booklet and PIN from any of the designated branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank. At the time of counselling, the candidates have to register for the counselling and then they have to select their course and the college. The seat will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of filled choices, cut off, merit, reservation, etc.

GUJCET Preparation Tips:

  • Practise a lot, practise and hard work are the key to success.
  • Maintain a good speed.
  • Read all the questions carefully, especially in the logical reasoning section. Attempt the easy ones first, and leave the difficult one for the last.
  • Give the paper with a calm and cool mind.
  • Keep a note of the important topics and do the sample papers religiously
  • Have adequate food before you come to the examination hall.
  • Lastly, do your best.

GUJCET Rules and Regulations:

  • Students have to take their admit cards positively to the examination hall
  • Students should reach the examination centre at least an hour before the examination starts.
  • Students should not carry any electronic materials such as mobile phones, programmable watches and smart watches, PDA, calculators, earphones etc.
  • Students should not carry any material that is related to the exam, including no writing anything on hands.
  • Students can carry only their stationery, including a blue or black ball point pen for filling the OMR sheet.
  • Students are also required to carry any of their photo identity cards issued by the government of India.
