Gujarat PGCET 2019: Application, Exam Date & Pattern, Eligibility, SyllabusGujarat PGCET (Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) is regulated and conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses(ACPC) for the M.E/M. Technology seats in the government, Grant-in-aid and self-financed institutes in the state of Gujarat. It is a state level entrance test held for granting admission to various courses in colleges/institutes situated in the State of Gujarat.

Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test 2019 will thus be conducted in the month of July 2019 tentatively. Students those who have already cleared GATE 2019 or GPAT 2019 will be exempted from appearing in the Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test 2019. On the other hand, the non-GATE qualified candidate’s admission will depend on the Gujarat PGCET 2019 examination for which a merit list will be prepared based on their performance and thereafter, the counseling process will begin.

Two merit lists will be-be prepared by the authorized committee, the first will be comprised of the names of the GATE qualified candidates and the second merit list will comprise of the names of the qualified students in the Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test 2019. Admission to students will be granted in 15 engineering Postgraduate courses across various institutions in Gujarat.

Gujarat PGCET Application From Details:

The application form of Gujarat Postgraduate Common Entrance Test 2019 will be available through online mode. The aspirants before filling the admission form of Gujarat PGCET must be ready with the required documents.

Below are the steps mentioned to be followed by the appearing candidates while filling the online application form –

Step 1 –

The students aspiring to appear in Gujarat Postgraduate Common Entrance Test 2019 examination have to purchase a PIN from the selected branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank. The user id and PIN acquired will be needed at the time of registration.

Step 2 –

After the candidates have purchased the user id and PIN, they have to register themselves online in the official website of Gujarat PGCET 2019. A direct link to the registration form will be generated on the page. Now, the candidates have to provide all the necessary personal, educational and contact details.

After completion, get a printout of the online submitted application form, as it will be asked for at the time of verification. Along with this, a unique registration ID will be provided.

Step 3 –

As the registration is successful, the applicant needs to submit the printout of the duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of the required documents and certificates at the help center.

The candidates need to carry the original documents along with the photocopies for the verification purpose.

All the candidates are required to get the verification done within the stipulated time. The candidates will get an extension of 5 days who needs to submit the refundable fees of Rs. 5000.

The following copy of documents must be self-attested by the candidates along with the Gujarat Postgraduate Common Entrance Test 2019 application form at the help center:

  1. SC Exam (12th standard) mark sheet
  2. Diploma in engineering exam (if applicable)
  3. Marksheet of the qualifying exam
  4. Degree certificate
  5. GATE exam score card
  6. Caste certificate
  7. Physical disability certificate of ex-servicemen (if applicable)
  8. Transfer certificate or school leaving certificate
  9. Sponsorship letter (in case of sponsored candidates only)
  10. Letter of experience (in case of sponsored candidates only)

Application Fees Details:

The application fee for Gujarat Postgraduate Common Entrance Test 2019 will be submitted at the time of purchasing the PIN. The Candidates have to pay a requisite amount of Rs.1000 at any designated branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Note – The application fees is totally non-refundable.

Gujarat PGCET Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates those who will be satisfying all the eligibility criteria for the courses offered by Gujarat Postgraduate Common Entrance Test 2019 will only be considered appropriate for the admission –

For non-sponsored candidates-

  • The applicant must have passed the qualifying exam in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for the reserved category candidates)
  • Apart from the qualifying exams, the candidate must also obtain the qualifying marks in the GATE exam.

For sponsored candidates-

  • The student must have cleared the qualifying exam with relevant subjects with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for the reserved category candidates ).
  • The candidate must have obtained qualifying marks in the GATE exam.
  • The candidates must have at least 2 years of work experience in industrial, academic or research institutions in the relevant discipline.

Note – The Candidates qualifying the GATE exam will get a direct admission in Gujarat Postgraduate Common Entrance Test institution.

Domicile Reservation-

The total number of seats allotted to students who have passed their examination in the state of Gujarat are –

  • 95% of the Seats are reserved for the students residing in Gujarat
  • The other 5% seats are for Candidates residing outside Gujarat.
