About Uttar Pradesh JEE (Polytechnic):

Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) is a state level entrance examination conducted by Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE) for admissions in Polytechnic Diploma, PG Diploma, Engineering, Technology, and other programs. Candidates who want to get admission in colleges providing such course in the state of Uttar Pradesh shall have to appear for the UPJEECUP.

The online registration and application form will be likely available in 3rd week of December 2019. The interested candidates can register themselves on the official website https://jeecup.nic.in/cms/public/home.aspx. The online submission of particulars, uploading of scanned photograph, signature, and thumb impression may be made at the above-mentioned website. The candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form.

After all the details, an application fee shall be paid for the entrance examination. The fee can be paid through online mode and offline mode as well. For online mode, candidates can pay the fee through debit card/credit card/net banking. For offline mode, candidates can pay the fee by generating e-challan from the website and deposit the fee in any branch of SBI. The application fee for different groups is given below:

  • For GEN/OBC: Rs. 300/-
  • For SC/ST: Rs. 200/-

On submission of complete application form, a confirmation page shall be generated. Candidates shall download the confirmation page for future reference.

Uttar Pradesh JEE (Polytechnic) 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

There is not an upper age bar but candidate must be minimum 14 years old on 1st July 2019. There are different educational criteria for different courses which are mentioned below:

Modern Office Management & Secretarial Practice 12th passed with Hindi and English as subjects
Diploma in Pharmacy Passed in 12th with Physics and Chemistry as main subjects with Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects
Postgraduate Diploma Course in Biotechnology B. Sc. passed with Biology and Chemistry/Biochemistry as subjects
Postgraduate Diploma course in other fields Graduation in any discipline
Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology 12th passed with a minimum of 35% aggregate in total.
Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering 12th Science passed and should have obtained 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects

UP JEE (Polytechnic) Examination Pattern:

The UP JEE 2019 will be a pen-paper based test and the duration of the examination will be three hours. Candidates will have to mark their answers on the OMR sheet given at the time of examination. The question paper will consist of multiple choice types questions and 100 questions in total. For each correct answer, four marks will be given. There will be negative marking. For each wrong attempt, one mark will be deducted.

Note: – The medium of the examination will be set in Hindi and English as well.

UP JEE (Polytechnic) Syllabus:

The syllabus of the question paper will be of the 12th standard level.

Physics: Physics, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Heat and Thermodynamics, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, and Communication Systems.

Chemistry: Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements, p-Block Elements, Organic Chemistry, Hydrocarbons, Environmental Chemistry, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-Block Elements, d-and f-block Elements, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones, and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, and Polymers.

Mathematics: Sets and Functions, Algebra, Co-ordinate Geometry, Calculus, Mathematical Reasoning, Statistics and Probability, Relations and Functions, Vectors and Three-dimensional Geometry, Probability.

Biology: Diversity in Living World, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology, Sexual Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology, and its applications, Ecology and Environment.

UP JEE (Polytechnic) Examination Dates:

The admit card for the examination can be downloaded from UPJEE (Polytechnic) website from 2nd week of April 2019 onwards. The candidates are advised to regularly check the website for updates.

The written examination will be tentatively held on 28th April 2019. The examination will be held in two slots. One slot for Engineering/Technology programmes and Diploma, and the second slot for other courses. The examination will be conducted in all districts of Uttar Pradesh.

The result and scorecard of UP JEE (Polytechnic) 2019 for all candidates will be declared by the third week of May 2019. This scorecard will comprise the actual marks obtained in UP JEE (Poly Technic) 2019 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in UP JEE (Poly Technic) counseling 2019. The answer keys will be displayed on the website along with the result.

Note: – No scorecard will be dispatched to the candidates. Candidates are required to download the admit card from the official website of UP JEE (Polytechnic).
