TS ECET 2019

Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET) is a state level entrance examination for Diploma Holders of Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy and B.Sc. (Mathematics) Degree Holders. The test is conducted every year by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. The examination grants lateral admission into second year B.E/B.Tech./B.Pharm. courses in both University and other private universities.

TS ECET 2019 Registration and Application Form Details:

The exam authority will tentatively release the official notification of TS ECET 2019 in the first week of March 2019. Interested candidates can register themselves on the website http://ecet.tsche.ac.in/TSECET/TSECET_HomePage.aspx. The registration window will be opened after four to five days after the release of the notification.

Candidates who wish to apply for the TS ECET 2019 are requested to fill the particulars carefully in Online Application. Following is the list of details which will be required while filling the form:

  • Hall Ticket Number of the Qualifying Examination (Diploma/Degree)
  • Date of Birth- Birth Certificate/SSC or equivalent Certificate
  • Hall Ticket Number of SSC or Equivalent Examination Certificate
  • Local Status
  • Income Certificate of Parents
  • Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority
  • Special Category Certificate issued by the competent authority

Other information required while filling up the application form:

  • Recent passport size photograph of the candidate for uploading
  • Signature of the candidate
  • Examination center to which candidates wish to appear
  • Gender
  • Mobile number of the candidate
  • Place where studied

The registration fee for different categories is given below:

  • For SC/ST candidates: Rs. 400/-
  • For others: Rs. 800/-

The last date to apply for the TS ECET 2019 will be tentatively in the first week of April 2019. After this, the candidate shall have to pay a late fee of Rs. 500/-. The late fee will get increased by Rs. 500/- by every week. After four weeks, the registration window will be closed. Applicants are advised to fill the form before the last date.

TS ECET 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • The candidate should belong to the state of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
  • The candidate should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh or any other Diploma recognized by the Government of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm. courses corresponding to the Diploma.

TS ECET 2019 Examination Pattern:

Mathematics: Differential Equations of First Order and First Degree, Higher-Order Linear Differential Equations, Binary Operations, Groups, Subgroups, Permutation, Cyclic Groups, Isomorphism, Groups of Cosets, Normal Subgroups and Factor Groups, Homomorphisms, Vector Differentiation, Vector Integrations, The Plane, The Sphere, The Real Numbers, Sequences and Series, Infinite Series, Limits, Continuous Functions, Differentiation,  The Riemann Integral, Rings, Integral Domains, Vector Spaces, Linear Transformation and Matrices, and Inner Product Spaces.

Analytical Ability: Data Sufficiency, Sequences and Series, Data Analysis, Coding and Decoding Problems, Date, Time and Arrangement Problems.

Communicative English: Vocabulary, Antonym, Synonym, Single Word Substitute, Words often Confused, Idioms & Phrasal Verbs, Grammar, Tenses, Propositions, Concord, Active & Passive Voice, Correction of Sentences, Spelling, and Reading Comprehension.

TS ECET 2019 Examination Dates:

The downloading of the admit card will be done from the first week of May 2019. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of the board. The examination will be conducted in the second week of May 2019 from 10 am to 1 pm. Candidates can attempt mock tests for practice on the website http://ecet.tsche.ac.in/UI/MockTest.aspx.

The answer key will be uploaded after seven days of the written examination. Candidates can check their answers with the help of the key. Also, they can file their objections against their doubts. The result of the written examination will be declared in the last week of May 2019. A candidate should obtain 25% of the total marks in written examination to get shortlisted. The qualified candidates will be called for counseling round and will be seats allotted as per the availability.
