NPAT 2019, a short form of NMIMS Programs After Twelfth, is the official entrance test for admissions to Undergraduate Degree and Integrated Degree Programs including –

  • Bachelor of Technology (BTech),
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA),
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics and Finance,
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Hons),
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) Tech,
  • MBA Pharma Tech and dual degree BBA,
  • Bachelor of Design (BDes).




NMIMS NPAT 2019 entrance test is regulated by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). This exam is a university level examination. It is conducted to provide admission into various UG & integrated degree courses in the field of engineering, pharmacy, management, commerce, etc. These courses are offered by the various Institutions campuses.

Following courses are covered under NMIMS NPAT exam:

  • UG Programmes: B.Tech, B.Sc Economics, B.Com (Hons.), B.Sc. Finance, BBA, B.Des
  • Integrated Programmes: MBA Tech (B.Tech + MBA), MBA Pharma Tech (B.Pharm + MBA)

Mumbai campus offers all the above-given courses. B. Tech, MBA (Pharma Tech), and  MBA (Tech) programmes are offered on Shirpur campus. B.Sc. Finance, BBA and B.Sc Economics are offered in Bengaluru campus.

NMIMS NPAT Application Form Details:

NPAT 2019 schedule has not been announced yet. Candidates must note that NPAT process is completely online. Only those candidates can apply who comply with the eligibility criteria of the exam. Any application that does not meet the eligibility criteria of the exam can be rejected by the officials.



To apply for the exam, the candidate needs to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Visit the official website
  • The homepage will consist of an online registration button that needs to be clicked – this will land the candidate to the application form page
  • The application form that appears on the screen needs to be filled in by the candidate. Also, the same needs to be verified at the same time
  • Correction can be made to application form the 3rd week of April 2019 using correction window which will be provided the NMIMS authority.
  • Once this is done, click submit and make the fee payment using a credit card or Demand Draft
  • Next, the candidate needs to upload a recent photograph in JPEG format (200px X 130px). The size of the photograph should not exceed 500KB
  • Take a printout of the complete application form.
  • There is no need to send filled application form to the university office.

NMIMS NPAT Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible to apply for the NMIMS NPAT 2019, the candidate must have passed in class 12 or equivalent examination. The 10+2 exam must have been cleared in the first attempt from any recognized board. The maximum age limit to be eligible for the admission in courses is 25.

  • Tech. & MBA. (Tech) / MBA Pharma Tech (B.Pharm + MBA):
  • Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent exam including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB certificate or / & DP awarded are not eligible) with English as a compulsory subject
  • The candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent exam including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB certificate/ & D.P. awarded are not eligible)
  • Science or science vocational & minimum 50% marks in PCM for Mumbai campus & 45% marks in PCM for Shirpur Campus
  • Those awaiting their 10+2 or equivalent examination result this year may also apply.
  • Sc. Economics / B.Sc. Finance / B.Com (Hons.) / B.B.A:




  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB certificate / & D.P. awarded candidates are not eligible) in any stream from a recognized Board in the first attempt and should have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks
  • The candidate must have passed in Mathematics / Statistics at 10+2 or equivalent exam

(a) Must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks at 10+2 or equivalent exam for being eligible to B.Com. (Hons.) program & 60% aggregate marks for being eligible to B.B.A. & B.Sc. (Finance) Program

(b) Candidate’s passing in Mathematics/ Statistics at 10+2 or equivalent exam is compulsory for being eligible to BBA/B.Com (Hons) / B.Sc (Finance)

(c) Candidate with IB Diploma applying for B.B.A / B.Sc. (Finance) the program is eligible only if he/she has offered & passed in Mathematics/ Statistics at Standard level

  • Des:
  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB certificate / & D.P. awarded candidates are not eligible) in any stream from a recognized Board in the first attempt and should have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks
  • Candidates of CBSE, ICSE, should mention in the online registration / re-admission form (if selected) for 10+2 or equivalent examination, the aggregate marks of all the subjects the candidate has taken/opted and appeared for (not best of four, five, six or seven)
  • The candidates shall have passed all the subjects appeared for in the applicable examination/s. The aggregate percentage of all subjects for which the candidate has appeared will be taken into consideration & PCM percentage for confirming eligibility of the candidate for the program.

NMIMS NPAT Admit Card:

Eligible candidates who register successfully will be called for an online test. Each candidate will be issued a document which entitles them to enter the test center to appear in the exam.

NMIMS will issue the admit card of NPAT 2019 on basis of information filled by candidates in registration. It will contain key details such as exam center. Candidates will be able to download admit card of NPAT 2019 by logging in with same login ID and password that will be generated at the time of form submission.

It is compulsory to take the following things on the day of the exam:

  • Admit card/call letter
  • Photograph – to be affixed on admit card
  • Original ID proof – can be 12th admit card, aadhaar card, college id, drivers license (not learners license), PAN card, passport, school ID, voters ID.
  • Photocopy of ID proof.

NMIMS NPAT Exam Syllabus:

Syllabus for Paper I:

  • English Language: Recognizing grammatical structure and usage, using prepositions, determiners, connectives, tenses appropriately, grasping the meaning of underlined words in sentences, using appropriate words in the given context. Putting ideas into a logical sequence by putting jumbled sentences in the correct order, Locating Information, grasping ideas, identifying relationships, interpreting ideas, moods, characteristics of characters and tone of the passage.
  • Quantitative and Numerical ability: Fractions, Surds, and Decimals, Number Series, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Discount, Compound Interest & Annuities, Ratio & Proportions, Time, Work & Distance, 2 D & 3D Figures- Areas & Volumes, basic Algebraic Identities, Equations – Linear & Quadratic Sequence and Series (AP, GP). Sets, Operation on Sets and their Applications, using Venn Diagrams, functions, mean, mode, and median, Measures of Dispersion.
  • Reasoning and General Intelligence: Decision Making, Problem Solving, Derive conclusions from logical premises or assess the validity of arguments based on the statement of facts, Venn Diagram (Identify the class-subclass relationship among given group of items and illustrate it diagrammatically) Mathematical Equalities.

  • Spatial ability and Visualization: Sub-construct, Gestalt Principles of Perception – Proximity, Similarity, Continuation and Closure, Huxley-Lester Model: Sight and thought perception, Cognitive Perception involves a myriad of mental processes: interpretation, memory, comparison, salience, association, inventory, analysis, and recognition.
  • Observation and problem solving: Sub-construct, Ability to detect complexity/problems related to ease-of-use of modern/day-to-day devices, Ability to understand spatial relations among 2D and 3D objects, Creative Problem-Solving Techniques. Knowledge of spatial composition, lighting, Golden Ratio, Rule of Thirds, Balance, Colour preference (Hue, Saturation, Lightness).
  • General awareness and design: Design for Environment to achieve sustainability- Green Design, Process changes and Product changes( focus on intangible products), Designing for social and cultural sustainability- Inclusive Design, Principles of Inclusive design: Responsive, Flexible, Convenient, Accommodating, Welcoming and Realistic, Culture expressed in visual images. Art Movements/Periods- Basic Info, Renowned Historical Artists, and their paintings.

NMIMS NPAT Preparation Tips:

Firstly, Candidates needs to make a detailed note of all the topics included in the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies 2019 and should prepare every topic thoroughly. Knowing the syllabus will help students prepare efficiently. As the syllabus will be completely based on the XI and XII standard, it will be a little relief for the appearing students.
