Result and Merit List

Authorities will publish the merit list of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 tentatively in the 3rd week of July 2019. The Maharashtra Polytechnic merit list 2019 will be prepared based on the percentage of aggregate marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying exam (SSC exam) and will be category-specific. It must, however, be noted that being merely listed in the Maharashtra M.Tech 2019 is no guarantee of admission.

In such cases where two or more candidates have the same marks in the qualifying exam, a tie-breaking process will be adopted as shown below:

The tie will be broken in the following order of preference

  1. The candidate with higher percentage of marks in Mathematics
  2. The candidate with higher percentage of marks in Science
  3. The candidate with higher percentage of marks in English
  4. The candidate has passed HSC science
  5. The candidate has passed HSC with Minimum Competency Vocational Course
  6. The candidate has passed ITI Trade (2-year course)
  7. The candidate has passed the intermediate grade drawing exam

Additionally, candidates who have successfully submitted applications for admission through CAP will each be issued a merit number, which will be derived from the merit list.

Option Entry

In this step, the candidate has to enter the choice of courses and colleges from the available options. It is recommended that candidates fill as many choices as possible – maximum 300 allowed – to optimize one’s chances of getting admission/ or a preferred seat. Choices should be entered in the decreasing order of priority. Next, the candidate has to confirm filled choices, after which no changes will be allowed.

Display of category-wise seats (Seat Matrix) – The candidate by referring to the category-wise seat matrix will be better able to access their chances of getting admission and also participate in choice filling more effectively.

A total number of choice filling rounds – There will total three seat allotment rounds – and for each round, the candidate will be allowed to fill in fresh choices.

Cut off

The admission conducting authority will publish the cut off of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2019 separately for all three seat allotment rounds. The Maharashtra Polytechnic cut off for around will indicate the last rank for which a candidate is given admission for that round. Candidates can check the round-wise cut off to gather information on branch and category-wise minimum marks required for admission at participating institutes. If a candidate misses out from the cut off list for the first two-seat allotment rounds, they still have a chance of admission. But round III being the last seat allotment round if a candidate misses out that there is very little chance of admission.
