DTET 2019, DTET Exam Dates, DTET Pattern, DTET Syllabus, DTET Eligibility, DTET Admit Card, DTET Cut OffTeacher Eligibility Test also known as TET is an entrance examination introduced by the Government of India. Candidates who aspire to make their career in teaching field must appear for Teacher Eligibility Test. Through TET, a candidate can get a job as a teacher in government schools from class 1 to class 8. Delhi Teacher Eligibility Test is a test for the recruitment of primary and secondary teachers for government schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya, etc. present in Delhi.

DTET 2019 Registration and Application Form Details:

The registration for DTET 2019 will tentatively start from the first week of December 2018. The registration can be done on the official website https://ctet.nic.in/ctetapp/root/regcand. All the applicants should log on to the CTET official website or click to “Apply Online” link.

After registering, candidates should note down the registration number and password. Applicants must fill the details and upload scanned images of the last photograph (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) and signature (3.5 cm x 1.5cm). An application fee shall be paid by e-challan or debit/credit card. The examination fee for different groups is given below:

The application fee can be paid through below methods:

  • Through e-challan by depositing the fee in CTET Exam Fee Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.
  • Payment by Syndicate Bank e-Challan
  • Payment by Canara Bank e-Challan
  • By Online-Mode (Payment by Debit Card/Credit Card)

The last date of the submission for the application form will be tentatively in the last week of January 2019. After submission, applicants must take a printout of the application form for future reference.

DTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

For Becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

A candidate must have passed senior secondary or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

A candidate must have passed Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

A candidate must have passed Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education.

OR

A candidate must have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalents with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Education.

OR

A candidate must have done graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

For Becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VII (Elementary Stage):

A candidate must have done graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

A candidate must have done graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education.

OR

A candidate must have done graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education, in accordance with the NCTE.

OR

A candidate must have passed senior secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.S.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.S.Ed.

DTET 2019 Exam Pattern:

The question paper will consist of multiple choice questions. For each correct answer, one marks will be awarded. There will be no negative marking. The question paper will consist of two papers. Paper 1 will be for the candidates who want to become a teacher for classes I to V. Paper 2 will be for the candidates who want to become a teacher for classed VI to VIII. The medium of the question paper shall be either English or Hindi.

Note: – The language of the question paper will not be changed under any circumstances. The examination will be held through pen-paper mode (offline mode).

The duration of the examination is one and a half hours. There will be 150 questions in total and the maximum marks for the paper 1 will be 150 marks.

DTET 2019 Syllabus:

The syllabus for paper 1 will be as follow:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy: This section will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. This section focuses on the understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
  • The language I: This section focuses on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.
  • Language II: This section focuses on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
  • Mathematics and Environmental Studies: This section focuses on the concepts, problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects.

Note: – The language I and language II will be two different languages.  Language II will be English. Paper 1 will be based on the syllabus of NCERT.

DTET 2019 Exam Date:

The examination will be tentatively held in March 2019. The candidates can download the admit card before 15 days of the examination. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of the TET. The answer key will be released by the exam authorities after the examination. The result of the online examination will be tentatively declared in April 2019. The result will contain the rank and score of the candidate.
