About the B.Arch Course
Architecture is the branch of engineering which deals with the art of planning, designing, and construction of the building and other physical structures. The B.Arch or Bachelor of Architecture course is a five year (full-time) course, spanning across 10 semesters. The course covers spatial design, safety management, aesthetics, material management as topics.
B. Arch is a 5-year, 10-semester degree course. It comprises of theory classes, practical classes in the form of studio exercises and practical training. After the 6th semester for 6 months of the course, candidates will have to utilize for practical experience.

The duration of the course is 5-years, divided into 10 semesters.
Some universities and institutes prefer the merit-based system of admitting students to the course. According to the merit-based system, marks scored by the candidate in the last qualifying examination (senior secondary exams) or any relevant entrance test, is considered. Seats are allotted to deserving candidates on the basis of merit scores achieved by them.
However, most universities prefer known as NATA or National Aptitude Test in Architecture, JEE as well as Architecture Aptitude Test. Certain institutes also conduct entrance examinations of their own.
Candidates must have had science with mathematics (PCM) as an individual subject in their 10+2 examinations and the minimum score achieved should have been 50%. Valid scores in NATA test are also necessary for a candidate to be eligible for admission to any Architecture course.
The examination for the B.Arch course will consist of theory papers, practical examinations as well as workshops and internship.
